We had the best, most memorable day with Fabrizio! He instantly made us feel comfortable and welcomed in Montepulciano. Fabrizio was knowledgeable about the area, told us many interesting facts, and stopped to show us historic and cinematic landmarks. Throughout the day, we toured two local, family-run wineries. At Poggio Grande, we had the opportunity to meet the owners of the winery, who were fantastic. We learned so much about their specific wine-making process, their land, and were able to ask many questions/had a great conversation. We enjoyed some of the best wine and olive oil, all while overlooking breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside! At the next winery, Innocenti, we ate lunch and had the best homemade lasagna we had ever tasted (accompanied by some delicious Brunello)! The views at this winery were stunning, nestled up on the hillside, overlooking the rolling hills. Throughout the day we stopped at local cafes in Pienza and Siena, and enjoyed espresso and Tuscan cannolis/treats. Fabrizio was such a great guide; he was personable and kept us laughing! This day was the highlight of our trip to Italy, we would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an authentic tour!
